Casework Success Story

I completed the MD Unemployment process, and never heard back about the status. I contacted your office for assistance. I received a call from MD Unemployment about two weeks later. My issues were resolved. Your representative was lovely to work with. Thank you!

I reached out to your office to assist with having my mother's ashes interred at Arlington Cemetery, which was significantly delayed due to back logs and the government shut down. Since we were not requesting a burial ceremony, we asked if the interment could be expedited, so that my mother could reach her final resting place without further ado. Happily, we are now scheduled to inter my mother's ashes alongside my father's that is already in a columbarium at Arlington on January 16, 2026.

I reached out to the office regarding my immigration case and received a prompt, professional response. Their assistance led to real progress on my case, and the communication throughout the process was clear and supportive. I am very thankful for their help and dedication.

After almost 6 months waiting for my Global Entry to move to the approved level, I contact your office.  Your staff was in touch with me immediately.  About two weeks later, I got a notice to move to the next level in the application process.  Whatever was stalled, got "unstalled" very quickly. Thank you!

Sarah Elfreth and her team were able to intercede on my behalf to file a claim with the Social Security office on my deceased husband's Social Security earnings. I had already been trying for months to reach them by phone when the Government shut down, eliminating any chance that I would be able to file my claim. Shortly after contacting Congresswoman Sarah Elfreth, I was called by Social Security, and my claim was quickly processed. Congresswoman Elfreth is a "go getter" with a terrific team who take care of their constituents.

I retired from the FDA after 35 years of service. In June, the Social Security Administration sent me a letter stating the partial payments I had received were deemed over-payments because they had recalculated my retirement date. Knowing that this was not true, I filed for reconsideration and reached out to your office. I was just notified that my reconsideration was approved and a claim authorizer will adjust my record. The overpayment will be removed and any deductions will be refunded. I cannot thank your office enough!

My wife and I had issues with the SSA and Form 44. We submitted it multiple times over a 8 month period starting in February 2025 after the SSA staffing was cut by the President. We contacted your office in July, and we received a response from your team, and the matter was resolved by August.
