Elfreth Statement on the Death of the Bibas Family
February 19, 2025
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Today, Congresswoman Sarah Elfreth (MD-03) issued the following statement on the death of the Bibas family, including Kfir and Ariel Bibas, two of the youngest hostages taken into captivity.
“This week marks 500 days since Israel and its citizens experienced the worst terror attack in their nation’s history. I am deeply disturbed and saddened by the news that Kfir Bibas, Ariel Bibas, and Shiri Bibas have been killed in captivity. This week is a painful reminder that we cannot rest until every hostage is returned home and reunited with their families—including five Americans. It is imperative that the ceasefire agreement holds to ensure a lasting and enduring peace for all in the region.”
